Aug 18, 2025

We are thrilled to announce that Zhiqiang Sha, a postdoctoral researcher in our lab, has accepted a tenure-track Assistant Professor position at the University of South Carolina!
Zhiqiang's groundbreaking work at the intersection of neuroscience and genetics has significantly advanced our understanding of the biological mechanisms underlying mental health. His research with large-scale psychiatric and genomic data has shaped key discussions in the field and opened new avenues for translational science.

Most recently, his work culminated in a landmark publication in Nature Mental Health, where he identified novel genetic markers linked to brain structure and function in psychiatric disorders. This achievement underscores the lasting impact of his contributions and sets the stage for an exciting new chapter in his academic career.

We are incredibly proud of you, and look forward to following your continued success at USC!
